oh! i forgot to tell the world that we did ballroom dancing for theatre studies last week!! haha.. it's so fun!! it is like as if we were one of those couples in the "pride & prej" movie! or whichever 19th century english ball.. :D i like the victorian era! everything is so prim and proper. :D

alrite. anyway, winnie and i had to act for today's prac. haha.. we only stated memorising our lines like last night. and winnie has such a powerful memory. it took her less than 10 in to rem everything. and me? erm.. nvm, shan't disclose. hahaah...

yea!! so we were voted to be the best pair in today's tutorial. haha.. what to do.. we are neighbours lor.. we said our lines from when we started bathing in the toilet to finish bathing, to printing out our props and what not in her room.. plus a few impromtu action which the 2 of us were quite shock at each other. haha.. or rather i think i shock her a lot. haha.. :X , we executed the play really well!! woohOO!! i'm so proud of you, girl!! :D heng we were partners. haha and heng we are neighbours toO!! *smiles*

different actions put together to get different msg. thats what happens when u study theatre. its called the study of semiotics, the science of signs.

An actor has 3 choices: 1. to choose what signs he wants to include; 2. leave out certain signs he doesn't want to include; and most importantly, 3. hierarchise the signs that he is portraying.

otherwise the specatators will not understand what you are trying to present across, because of the mixed up signs!!

so, do u understand what i'm trying to say?
