Lovely London

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

i never felt so obliged to blog about any country that i've been to so far.

yes, stockholm is a beautiful city and so are the rest that we've been to, including rome. But just somehow, this trip to London has been the best ever.

so you ask, what defines the "best ever"?

offhand, i can tell you i didn't miss stockholm a bit, which is such an unlikely thing, since it has been a norm to do so in the previous visits to norway, copenhagen, prague, finland, russia, estonia, rome and germany. (ok, not me.)

London is just simply amazing. perhaps its the part where you know all the station names from a certain board game or a certain sport.

or the extensive publicity of musicals all over central London, which u totally can't miss not watching. Les Mis was worth every 55 pounds i paid. and i'm damn glad i watched it.

or maybe its because its our country's 'motherland' and how we appreciate (finally) the same directions the cars drive.

or even its what Aya read in the newspaper:
Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes and child Surie spotted at Hyde Park yesterday.

I guess Krispy Kreme played a great part in the whole trip, since i ate a total of 3 doughnuts in 3 days, after much publicising from my dearest friend chung xiang jie who has been doing so since his first year in his "cornfield" university in the states.

"has adrian contacted u? hows krispy kreme? haha"

(Krispy Kreme is super uber sweet. thanks for the warning against the strawberry filled one. haha.. i'ld really turn pinky. i can foresee.)

Thanks Angeline for bringing us around on the 1st and 2nd day! we really appreciate your detailed map and your navigation! otherwise we'll not be able to take the best photos at the recommended spots. haha

Thanks Adrian-nie for the time u spent on us (me, in particular. haha) , the recommendations u gave, the duck u treated, the cleaning up of ur room so that we can tompang our bags and stay at ur place for the last few hours, more imptly, the love and hospitality you gave. =D

ronald is mr bad influence, but he's still my no.1 fan.

my dear fan/friend Ronald Chan always had this love for the series heroes since i don't know when. Being his idol, i decided to check it out myself, for the lack of any other movies to stream and watch.

and guess what.

i finished season 1, which consists of 23 episodes, in 3 days.

-.-

i have to admit that i am a heroes addict. and thats bad.

So, with much determination, i've decided to stop after season 1, to concentrate on my business marketing essay. and perhaps, continue season 2 after i'm done with this essay and maybe after my consulting case as well.

and this is what he says:

MIP] ronald says:
watch season 2

*in STOCKHOLM* laur: i believe everybody would love to fast forward to Dec 17 says:
nooo not now!!!!

*in STOCKHOLM* laur: i believe everybody would love to fast forward to Dec 17 says:

with all her might, she pulled that heavy door which she has been doing so since August. That big heavy wooden door that has handles which are nailed far too high for her, she just had to to tiptoe to reach it.

she took a step out of the school and just stared...

...in amazement.

the sight of the white pavement, the white stairs and in between the passing traffic going in both directions there lay awhite untouched small road strip.

she looked in the air and saw them. falling, one by one.

she smiled.

she left a month in this wonderful city and she has just got used to calling it home. She love the city sights and the old town, especially, and was just getting used to pull over at least a wool sweater before putting on her H&M black winter jacket. she really loved this place. (but not so much of the people) but she knew she was going home soon.

as she took a step, she cringed when she realised the snow had made the ground slippery. Silently scolding herself for putting on her red striped converse sneakers- her beloved JC friends had gotten her for her 17th birthday a few years ago- which was not suitable for the ground conditions, she gingerly watched the ground and her step as she headed back the place where she currently calls, home.

this is my 600th post, and i'm sorry its going to be an angry post.

swedes! wth is wrong with you people?? investment bankers and consultants! yet no collective group spirit in you?

urgh!

EXCHANGE STUDENT. ME. ONLY NEED TO FREAKING PASS. DID THE ENTIRE THING. WHERE'S YOUR VALUABLE INPUT.

oh. screw you.

and you, viennise! lazy pig. oh gawd. no way should u be in our group anymore. don't smile and offer me a drink cos i'll so splash it on your face! u're not invited to the next asian party! GO AWAY.

----

sorry aya... i must have scared u with my outburst

Tuesday, November 27, 2007

oh oh oh.

i failed my literature test. i received an 8/20. i am the highest failure. and i have to retest. like wth!! i'm so angry! let me failllllllllll.. its okkkkkkkk.. i'll do better in the other segments!!!!

sigh. that took up almost all my energy yday. grumbling, complaining and whatebver else.

anyways, hopefully the prof would consider my request and either just let me pass with 2 marks or just simply let me not retest. its 2 marks. i dun careeee.

----------

that aside, i finally had 2 days without school. like FINALLY! feels so good and so great. this period is such a stark difference from last period when i only go to school on average twice a week. haha. i didn't even know where the darn library was in school. i didn't care.

so this period i guess makes up the last. i wouldn't say that school is tough, or workload heavy. the workload is equally the same or even more relax than NUS, i believe. but throw in travelling and oh boy, its freaking heavy.

:(

so many things to do today.. have to go to the post office and pay my rent, help aya post her mummy's bday card at the same time, wait for anna to send me our project before handling it up to the prof who wanted it at 9 this morning, and she decided to sleep, while i was up at 7 am waiting for her darn email, my phone decided to run out of credits and i couldn't call her, i sent 2 emails to her which i figured out was quite useless and then reluctantly woke aya up to use her phone to call. but her batt decided to die on her, and hence, i'm still waiting for it.

i dunno, just feel that the behaviour is unacceptable and so irresponsible.

nothing to say about it. this exchange period is really not enjoyable. and i'm quite pissed, really.

Sunday, November 25, 2007

i had a great dinner today. i hope they really like my soup. haha.. roger said i 'passed with distinction'. haha..

had a great and long talk with mai after we finished dinner. worried for her for being so stress with school. she tells me the exchange students she's living with over the other side are also facing the same problem.

stupid school.

anyways, apprently i found a case worse than ours. the poor girl hasn't seen her bf for more than 1 year. and will only see him when she comes back to spore in mid january.

she says its difficult, but she's taking it well. haha.. i think i know what she means.

she talked a lot to me today. told me more abt her life and her struggle with her singaporean boyfren, with not only religion but nationality as a problem.

i shared Christ with her and i know somehow deep down it sank in her. and i just have to pray that the seed will take root and grow.

but if you really want to know.. i admire that girl.

gawd. mobbed by europeans.

haha. i'll never forget this in my life: victor dancing and squashing me with his ass. like 3 times. haha.. did i ever mention that he's going to be an investment banker?

sad i didn't get a picture of drunkard roger. blabbering about how much he wants to rap and anyhow touching ppl, me included. goodness.

culture shock. haha...

i promised him a karaoke session soon. got to get the babes to go with me. being alone with europeans really ain't a good idea, esp when u're the only asian girl.

ok. screamed too much (cos of victor) and laughed too much (cos of roger and that spanish drink (can't believe they wanted me to drink more)) and i smell of smoke now.

thank God they didn't catch me when i ran to my room.

u know they say don't judge a book by its cover? u bet thats true. there's so much more than this innocent spastic swiss boy, called ROGER.

eww. got to bathe.

i am NO party animal. i'm a movie person.

gosh. the girls are in germany. and victor decided to prowl on me.

=\

haha.. shucks. i have no excuse to not join them for that spanish guy's bday party.

ever since i start living on level 5, peraps things have become more 'happening'. but being the boring me, i really rather coop myself in the room watching movies and the OC.

guido, victor and roger pulled me into the kitchen. eay for them since i stay opposite margault now. and they thrusted this whole glass of red wine+fruits and they call it " the spanish drink". and oh. how they forced it down my throat.

manage to sneak away to come back to my room. my face is totally flushed and i feel heavy already. (they filled that huge cup to the brim) but roger caught me and i had to promise to go back.

gawd. it sucks even more that the girls aren't around to be my force. i'm on my own and i have to drink with these angmohs.

i prayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy that they won't pull me out to party.

o still can't believe that ac calls me a party animal. what is wrong with this world??!!

i'm like the total opposite. haha

ok. 10 min time, i shall go show my face.. and come back in 5 min time.

i pray i survive the night..

darn. shouldn't have opened the door. haha

--------

gawd! that spanish drink is really sth. its getting to my head.. i'm sure its more than 21% man..

random thought

it feels great that the cases are done and submitted. 3 more to go before we leave sthlm.

i watched 2 movies today. haha

typical story line: guy who goes all out to get the girl, despite the taunting he gets from his male friends, simply because he loves her.

think its sad to have your man not crazy in love with you, or at least who loves you the same amount you love him.

so it just makes me wonder if we should restrict the amount of love we give... to minimise the fall we get?

well, just a thought.

its really okay if you don't understand this post.

just all of a sudden.

she felt cold and lonely. she felt like as if she lost him and she don't know why.

just all of a sudden.

she just wants to cry.
i don't know.

i just really hope he's happy.

Rome. =D

rome is just so beautiful.

i'm in love with the size of the size of the Colosseum.

amazing.

basilicas of all sorts. metro, train, bus, roads, castle, bridges, ruins, vatican city, etc.

rome. rome. rome.

i like the sisters. :D

the sweetest thing in my life that was ever told to me:

"they say.. 'when an angel appears, the sky clears', how true."

disgusted.

she closed her eyes, sighed and laid her head back on her favourite green armchair she has come to love the last 2 months. She finally finished that stupid question she took forever to do.

Just this morning, she had dealt with the worse ever project group meeting that she felt she was ever involved in: her project mates didn't listen and they communicated in a foreign language she once attempted to learn.

again, she slept only a pathetic 4 hours the night before to get her answers for the silly case she had to do which was a measely10% of her grade.

"screw it," the voice in her head said.

"but you won't be around for the next few assignments!" the second voice said

"bbbaaaahhh. does it matter?" said number 1.

"duh. i have to count on them for 40% of the grade."

"oh yea.. since i don't think u can make it yourself for the 55% of the grade.."

"thats why, i have to do my bit for this stupid 10%, so the other 30% would be done by.. them?"

"i don't know. you can't tell such things, you know. you never know what they are mumbling about..."

"yea ok. whatever, but since u've finished what u're supposed to do, you should really go and sleep. your eye bags are.. worse than.. georgie's.*insert footnote 1*"

"oh yea, you're right. i look like shit."

"night"

"night"

Then, she dragged her feet to the toilet, brush her teeth and rest her sleepy head.

'john mayer' showed up!

it is about time u got here.

thanks, dear. :)
just when i really really really want to hear 'john mayer', he must get stuck in.. india. thats like 3 times man!

gee dude, get a map or sth. sweden's not that north!

ok who am i kidding.

*whines.

i waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnntttt... :(

Saturday, November 10, 2007

i had a terrible day.

i slept for only for 4 hours. to do the damn case. only to realise my 2 swedish group mates didn't do it, and suggested this plan that we should all take 1 assignment each our of the 3, throwing the heaviest one to me. i didn't realise it till much later due to the lack of sleep.

oh boy, i was so angry.

=(

but my tom yam soup wasn't spicy, unfortunately.

cousin george was nice enough to draft a reply for me to my group mates, which there is a likelihood that if they piss me off again with some shit like that, that i will send this amazing template to them:

{GEK1712}The end can either be the end of my misery or the end of my life ... says:

My dearest grp mates. in case u dun noe and i didn;t tell u or u didn't soMehow one way or another find out that yours truly aka ME , only need a PASS to get over with it. dumping me a mount everest worth of workload is just simply WRONG in all sense. So if you dun mind, i seriously wun mind if u can take back the spasticated mountain worth of workload . btw 去死啦(aka have a nice day :) )

well said.

-----------

urgh. i am not swedish, but i'm proud to be an asian, an exchange student. don't push your work to me, or i'll make sure you get a damn bad grade.

gawd! i'm still so pissed!

urgh

propriety, dammit! wat is wrong with you!

needtostopneedtostopneedtostop!!!

today + everyday

Today is a great day! basically because i went shopping. Felt bad that the others had to study, so i slipped away when jamie was out paying rent. i bought them our fav Daim choc and exclusive treatment to Jamie: Hemkop chicken. But the standard drop already, chicken getting smaller and saltier. =/

"we need to find other cravings." in Jamie's words.

so anyways, i went to h&m, bought a pretty, wide collar black jacket that i have specially chosen to bring it with me to russia this thurs. paid a good $90SGD for it, so it better be good. And yay! its black so i can match it with what hidayat gave me for buaya week, my pink scarf. :) and i can wear my ugly red gloves. it matches. hahaha..

anyways, found super good sales ard h&m too.. bought a top and a dress (kids' size, of course) at just 79 Kr = erm.. less than 20 bucks la. really happy. haha.. i love the 3 letters "REA". :D

i handed in my ideation assignment already, so 3 things left: print and hand in my indiv hand in for IB, print and hand in the IB exam assignment and erm... hmm... finish my green tea?

gosh. have been sleeping at 4 am the past week although i'm the one without exams. i watch a movie everynight. hahaha.. kill time ah. oh ya, haven't read my library book. shall do that after this post.

well, I took my younger sister's advice and watched High school musical 2. haha.. i bet that crazy woman has watched it a gazillion times already. but anyway, as of the first sequel, the songs are really nice, and it has those "enjoy your time, grab your chance before its too late" meaning. and i think its really applicable to those struggling with the upcoming of exams back home in school and hall.

enjoy! :)

hmm.. but i think i like the other song better. can't decide. oh well! haha :)

Everyday

Once in a lifetime
means there’s no second chance
so I believe than you and me
should grab it while we can
Make it last forever
and never give it back

It’s our turn, and I’m loving’ where we’re at
Because this moment’s really all we have
Everyday
of our lives,
wanna find you there, wanna hold on tight
Gonna run
While we’re young
and keep the faith

Everyday
From right now,
gonna use our voices and scream out loud
Take my hand;
together we
will celebrate,
celebrate.
Oh, ev’ryday.

They say that you should follow
and chase down what you dream,
but if you get lost and lose yourself
what does is really mean?

No matter where we’re going,
it starts from where we are.
There’s more to life when we listen to our hearts
and because of you, I’ve got the strength to start

Yeah, yeah, yeah!

Everyday
of our lives,
wanna find you there, wanna hold on tight
Gonna run
while we’re young
and keep the faith.

Everyday
from right now,
gonna use our voices and scream out loud
Take my hand;
together we
will celebrate,
Oh, ev’ryday

We’re taking it back,
we’re doing it here
together!

It’s better like that,
and stronger now
than ever!
We’re not gonna lose.
‘Cause we get to choose.
That’s how it’s gonna be!

Everyday
of our lives,
wanna find you there, wanna hold on tight.
Gonna run
while we’re young
And keep the faith
Keep the faith!

Everyday
of our lives,
wanna find you there, wanna hold on tight.
Gonna run
while we’re young
and keep the faith

Everyday
from right now,
gonna use our voices and scream out loud
Take my hand;
together we
will celebrate,

Ev’ryday!
Live ev’ry day!
Love ev’ryday!
Live ev’ryday!
Love ev’ryday!
Ev’ryday!
Ev’ryday!
Ev’ryday!
Ev’ryday!
Ev’ryday!
Ev’ryday!
Ev’ryday!

and maybe paris, nice and barcelonia for christmas? need to wait for dad- to see if he's coming with bo- to confirm if i'll join the family or the friends.

if not for the management consulting module i really want to take, I would be going to venice, florence, munich, frankfurt.. and to switzerland again.

=/ ok.. sigh. whatever. its not like i'll not go there in the future anyway. need to go london to be inspired. hopefully i won't go there and be scared. haha u know the inferiority complex thing. and perhaps i may consider kicking my kid out even before O levels. hahahahahah

quote of the exchange?

"must leave some places for honeymoon laaah."

------

something is telling me that if i don't treasure what i have right now, i'll totally regret it.

o btw, Gossip Girl rocks. both the guys and the girls are like so hot, i drool. and perhaps, faint.

haha..

stockholm is getting realllllly cold, its scary.

*mental note: need to finish the stupid assigments tmr so i can go h&m and otehr shopping shopping places the day after!

day dream

i realised i've developed a new hobby: daydreaming.

somehow, escaping into my memories or virtual world seems to be somewhere i rather be, most of the times. things go according to my way, and it just literally puts a smile on my face.

and right now, you know what i'm dreaming about?

a fireplace.

gawd. its freezing.

my first europe cinema experience

i know this may be a little late for people who are reading it at the other side of the earth where i lived before coming here, but it is FRESH news for people living in this town.

RATATOUILLE ROCKS.

hahaha... it doesn't help that people say i look like a rodent and i have acquired this love for cooking.

but anyway, my ratatouille experience rocks even more than anything because i got to sit in Stockholm's biggest cinema (as what uncle kang said)-a 900 seater cinema, and i didn't have to sit with good posture although super tall victor sat in front of me, and of course, i paid a gooooooood $18.90 SGD for the movie ticket.

hahaha

but seriously.. worth it.

watching all the characters in ratatouille reminds me totally of my hall darlings, i wonder hoe many of their handphone attachment thingy accessories are still alive and not beheaded.

hahaha... ron, u suck la. hahhahhaa

yay!!

GOd answers prayers! :)

see you in sweden, jo!! :)
please God, let Jo get into NA.
in retrospect, perhaps i was the one who jumped into it.

guess i have to restrain it.

the whining and the song of the night

i'm bored of my assignment. :( so tired. but i have to finish it by tmr! because i have to do the other exam which weighs 50%. hmm

neck muscles are aching.... oh ya. haven't bathe. haha been sitting here for a really long time trying to rewrite my entire essay.

ok, just a little whine for the night.

-------

jamie mentioned sth about me liking slow paced songs. didn't notice till she pointed it out the other day,"eh. why all your songs always slow slow wan?"

hmmm

i dunno. cos the tune/melody/whatever nice lah. how i know. hahhahaha.. oh well.

lately i've developed a liking for sad songs. i've no idea why. its either that or sad song's melody/tune/whatever sounds really nice, since i hardly pay attn to lyrics unless they are composed for me. (HAHA)

currently, the song that i like to press repeat would be John Mayer's "covered in rain", which was sent to me a long time ago from a certain someone and I am so sure i got the influence from that someone. -.-

Firewoods to fire places
Summer snow and fallen places
Now were people watching other people, people watching you and i
Standing by the missing signs at the cvs by the checkout line
Put your quiet hands in mine
Cause your the brightest thing I got

When youre covered in rain
Cause Im covered in rain
Cause Im covered in rain
No Im covered in rain

Come december lydia left
Mentioned something about it being for the best
And I cant say I disagree
Now Im standing facing west
Tracing my fingers round a silhouette
I havent gotten used to yet
But its the brightest thing I got

just to make the post complete.

back to my essay.

my theory is true.

okay, i realised something in class today.

a majority of the people in my INt Biz class did internships at investment banking.

and in spore, i don't...like know.. anybody... who does internships.. at investment banking...

oh sheesh! i bet my theory on my post below is so true: Westerners get the high flying jobs, because they are independent at an early age.

gofigure.

i think i'll chase my kid out of the house after o levels and tell him/her that its for her own good- do come back and find me when u're an investment banker.

oh yea. i make a good mother.

hahahaha...

empty nest syndrome

eh i found this when i was doing my research for my assignment, and i thought it was quite interesting..

-----------

Empty-nest syndrome
Written by Christine Webber, psychotherapist and lifecoach and Dr David Delvin, GP and family planning specialist
http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/womenshealth/features/ens.htm

How can you help if you're the young person leaving home?

If you're a teenager who has left home - or is about to go - and you know your mum is really suffering, what can you do?

First of all get her to look at this article. Secondly, if she's very upset, get her to talk things over with a close girlfriend or go to a doctor.

But after that, don't make the mistake of trying to curtail your activities to please her.

Your development depends on you finding your adult feet, and in going off to learn new things, do new jobs and make new friends and relationships. That's the way of the world.

The empty-nest syndrome is actually your mum's problem - not yours.

Of course you'll want to be sympathetic and kind to her. After all, she does love you very much: she wouldn't have empty-nest syndrome if she didn't.

But don't allow yourself to be pressurised into coming home more often than you want, or can afford. And don't fall into the trap of having to call her every day.

Arrange with her when you will phone her and stick to that. Please be fair about this and remember to call when she is expecting you to.

An extra email or text message on top of that will probably help to cheer her up. But don't do so many that she comes to expect them. They should be a pleasant surprise for her - and a pleasure for you to do, not a duty.

Don't forget, this is a time when you're forging your independence. She's got to do the same.
------

its the first line that struck me, "if you're a teenager..", its really the difference between Western and Asians,: how independent they are and how dependent we are at that age. perhaps now i get it why people with a "western" mindset at the age of 23 feels embarrass in getting ang pao money.

but it really makes me wonder, so does leaving your home earlier allows you to be more independent and thus allow you to be more career oriented? If you look at it, is that the reason as to why the west has so much more' stronger' business hubs- London, New York, Copenhagen.. compared to Asia, which has perhaps smaller hubs mainly Tokyo, HK, Singapore, Shanghai.. and if you observe it, they are mainly expats from the west. ok, i say observe because i can't find any evidence, hahaha..

alright i think i'll get back to my 10 '300 word' essays.

i finish3 liao. 7 more. urgh.

having a relationship is good.

because you get to understand what type of a girlfriend you are.

i've seen the similarity and concluded what type i am.

haha.

i don't know whether to laugh or cry.

hahaha.

hmm..

just some thoughts and a lil on prague

what i really want right now is....

hmm i would complete that sentence, but i guess i've been a little emo the past few days that i got my avid readers a little worried. haha

well, yea. life goes on and i can't stop anything.

had a good great talk with him and i guess somehow, i'll just leave it to how God will put it.. don't want to think about anything anyway. its emotionally draining and i get people especially a certain one, worried. but sometimes, its inevitable to think. whether or not u expect it to happen- and that sucks. but anyhow, i day dream my days away.

8 months 8 months 8 months.. hmm.. i think we're heroes, and victors of our own little conquest.

thought about what you told ur fren.. and yea, i concluded that we can very much define the period ourselves. since i've never experienced it before, you can create it for me! hahaha

right. i'm just waiting for roomie to come out of the toilet so i can brush my teeth.
---------
these days have been tiring perhaps it was because of prague.

prague is pretty pretty pretty. although thinking back it was more of the prices of the place as well as the pretty pretty st vitus church that makes it sooooo pretty pretty. okay. you got my point.

yep. mmm.. walked a lot on a swollen right foot because of a silly sprain cos of my heels during the city hall dinner. but it was alrite. i think my calf muscles have all firmed up. haha.. and i can wear that h&m pretty cropped grey caprice that was on sale the other day. :) yay.

bought crumpler(AGAIN), cos its like cheap. hahaha.. but shix, if you read this dun worry, our quality much better, hahaha.. tell u more soon. :)

yep. roomie's out, time to brush teeth.

:D

emotional wreck

i broke down again.

but i managed to tell someone my fears, and the pressures i'll face once i returned.

God said if we ask, He'll give, but we'll have to bear the consequences.

i really don't know if i can do it all over again.

i'm just freaking scared, and i don't know what to do.

bro showed me the positive light to all these. yes, but i need confirmation.

yes, i'm scared. i'm utterly scared till i can't stop my tears now.

why do we repeat mistakes?

sigh

sigh. why do all of us enter a relationship knowing the landing is going to be hard?

i suck, cos i'm in sthlm and i can't be there for you.

=(

now i understand why the SAC girls grouped together and cry when one of them got hurt by some boy.

because i totally understand how you feel.

*hug* you'll get over this. i know you will.

the kindergarten friend.

omg.

we grew up together, we went to kindergarten together, we went to sunday school together, we went to primary school together.

and i didn't see her any more.

till one night, when i was with him, i saw her on a bicycle.

and i didn't think much. he told me she was hot. i was like "..what."

and now i see it..

omg. gee..

i dunno what to say..

is it me? or is it her?

ah, there's that feeling again..

i get it quite frequently these days.

i can't exactly put a word to describe it, but its sort of like a tingle, or a longing... and somehow, through that process, i smile...

i smile because... i don't know why too.

all i know is.. i'm thinking of you.

i hope you're smiling too. :)

wrong choice

i shouldn't have agreed. then i would have realised part 1. the role suited me. the role was mine. i bet i'll have done a better job.

ah. i regret.

and all of those wouldn't have happened.

sigh.

Monday, October 01, 2007

lalala.. =)

i tend to read our conversations over again once i kiss you good night, and somehow, it always put a smile on my face when i close the window.

haha. yea, may be i'm psychotic.

over you.

93 days!

-------------

its been quite a while since i last blogged. school work is piling up,because i've been slacking like crazy. just no motivation to study.

busy being a lovesick fool just waiting for him to come online. haha shit. i'm scared of myself.

oh wells, been dreaming of the day and how it will be like recently.

gawd. think i'm getting fat. when i go back to spore, i'm so going to diet and run ard the park!! ok i dunno what i'm talking now.

but i'm glad i've been able to cook up a few dishes. mummy and daddy will be so proud of me.

no hang on. i think my block commers 0506 will be happy for me too.

yaaaaaaaaaaaaay. i think i did everybody proud.

me = happy

i think i should go back and do my assignments.

Everything

You're a falling star, you're the get away car.

You're the line in the sand when I go too far.

You're the swimming pool, on an August day.

And you're the perfect thing to say.

And you play it coy, but it's kinda cute.

Ah, when you smile at me you know exactly what you do.

Baby don't pretend, that you don't know it's true.

Cause you can see it when I look at you.

[Chorus:]

And in this crazy life, and through these crazy times

It's you, it's you, you make me sing.

You're every line, you're every word, you're everything.

You're a carousel, you're a wishing well,

And you light me up, when you ring my bell.

You're a mystery, you're from outer space,

You're every minute of my everyday.

And I can't believe, uh that I'm your man,

And I get to kiss you baby just because I can.

Whatever comes our way, ah we'll see it through,

And you know that's what our love can do.

[Chorus:]

And in this crazy life, and through these crazy times

It's you, it's you, you make me sing

You're every line, you're every word, you're everything.

So, la, la, la, la, la, la, la

So, la, la, la, la, la, la, la

[Chorus:]

And in this crazy life, and through these crazy times

It's you, it's you, you make me sing.

You're every line, you're every word, you're everything.

You're every song, and I sing along.

'Cause you're my everything.

Yeah, yeah

So, la, la, la, la, la, la, la

So, la, la, la, la, la, la, la

---------------

to sing it and to mean it are 2 very different things.

i'm glad we kissed and made up. =)

they call me an actress.

but finally, i broke down.

Maybe

he used to say that maybe they won't make it; and she kept reassuring him that maybe they will.

but now she thinks, maybe he's right.

*shrugs.

she closed her eyes, leaned back and took a long deep breath.

just an hour ago, she was on one of the highest bridges with her friends and the view was just magnificent.

and just at that moment, as she reminisced standing there enjoying the night scene right in front of her, she wished he was with her.

the ride back home

it was an hour ride back home, and boy, she needed sleep.

she slept soundly, with her ear phones plugged snuggly into her ears.

the bus was still moving as she opened her eyes. with a yawn, she looked out of the window as she realised she has reached the central already. her destination was the city terminal.

she was about to switch off her mp3 player, when she heard the familiar strumming of the guitar. she paused; and thought about how she never managed to hear his voice whenever her player was on shuffle mode, and always had to select the tracks to hear his charming voice.

and so she continued to listen what fate had allowed at that moment. oh, how she missed him. But would she be able to hear his whole song before having to switch off her player? she thought, as the city terminal became in sight. perhaps it was all not meant to be if she couldn't hear to the end of his song- that it was just an accident, another "one of those kind".

as the bus reached the station, she looked anxiously at the progress bar of the track on the screen of her player as it was only two-thirds played.

the bus finally came to a halt.

Just as the bus doors swung opened, she heard the last strum of his guitar. she switched off her player, got off the bus together with the rest of the other passengers; of course, with a smile on her tired face.

i am part of buaya week!!! =)

rocks my socks. i got buaya-ed in sweden. hahhaha.. well, whats there to say? once a shearite, always a shearite.

national day songs

we have an exchange students dinner tomorrow and so we came up with this crazy idea to be enthusiastic about it and put on a great show.

after a sugar rush at thelins, we came up with the idea of singing "singapore town", and with that we've been listening to national day songs the whole night. no doubt, it made all of us home sick. and guess who i started missing so much.

my own sister bo ho GOh.

=/

gawd, i can't believe i'm missing her so much. haha.. just thinking about how she sings kit chan's n day song this year, and all her stupid actions.

oh wells. darn this presentation, making us feel so home sick.

close to 3 weeks.

being in sweden here for about close to 3 weeks already, make me realise how much i miss everybody.
----

loooked at my reflection in the train windows while on our way to KTH for our class, and i realised i think i've grown fatter. and boy, ain't i horrified. =/

well, its either that or my fringe has grown too long, it has altered my face shape. ( and i strongly believe this is it)
-----

every time i close my eyes, i just think of the future, of what it entails and what it will bring. honestly, i'm scared: i'm scared it will all disappear. i'm scared it all never came true, that it was a dream.

i remember confidently told troy once, it won't sink in. but i'm slowly taking back my words, swallowing them one by one, as i realise the situation i've come face to face with. i need not have to face it in the few more months to come, but i know i have to handle this same situation next year.

God said He'll give me the understanding to do whats next. but what if i don't want to understand?

sigh.. i answer my own questions these days- there is something terribly wrong with me.

-------

baby, i miss you. so much.

Sunday, September 02, 2007

before i sleep

had a long day today. not just because we went to vasa museum which was really sweet, but i was fighting to be myself and not a poor girl with stupid cramps.

anyway, i think it was a draw.

vasa museet is soo preety. hmm.. i must learn how to say that in swedish.

-------

lots of things to talk about the trip, seems like i'm the only one blogging over the otherside. haha.. might as well blog it here, rite? haha.. oh wells.

trying really hard to accomodate, but i seriously feel its the pms, thats why i'm extra sensitive, things will bccome better. =) its all in the mind.

ratatouille comes out on 19th oct, can't wait to watch it in the swedish screens. i wonder how long does it take to send a letter back to spore...
------

somehow, i still blame myself for causing a hurt to him which was not by me.

and somehow, i still love him as much as how i shouldn't love him.

all these ironic actions... make me feel irritated.

o.. blame it on the pms.

just in case, any sweet sould wanna send me stuff, ask me for the add k? =D

Tuesday, August 28, 2007

pmsing.

i'm pmsing so badly, thats why i am currently like that.

thats... bad.

hold me down before i start screaming.

think it's getting the better of me.

o sheesh.

reflections

just this one week, i've learn a lot.

i've learnt what its like to live with someone, that water all over the world taste different. i learnt the meaning of culture clash; i learnt the reasons of why discrimnation exists.

i learnt what it means to accomodate, the meaning of love, and most importantly the value of money.

perhaps, it was all meant to be. perhaps i was to open my eyes and try to understand all these.

but what happens if tolerance is nowhere to be found?

1 week over, many more to come. enjoy? yes, but hypothesis arises: only when with the same mindset can things work out to the max.

---------

sometimes i wonder why she's so cold. i wonder why she reacts this way all the time. is it because she's envious? or she just expresses herself differently?

doesn't she understand there is no 2nd opportunity for such a program? why does she keep rubbing it in? does she think i have no common sense?

why can't she be happy for what i'm doing and where i am? doesn't she know that i'ld be terribly happy for her if our roles were switched?

ddepressed..yet again

ken's right.

although he said it bluntly, some where deep down, i know he's right.

so now, i don't know why i'm sad. =/ is it because he's not talking to me? he put it across in that way? or i'm just freaking tired from Sentosa.

hai..

honestly, i don't know if i can do this any longer...

may tomorrow be a better day.

--------

they may think i'm not proud of him; proud of what we're in. i believe he thinks that way too. but thats just the opposite.
